From the article: "...Customers in different states have reported that their packages stop in Birmingham and remain there for days before being delivered. Larry Preston, one of the affected customers, frequently sends packages through USPS and has experienced delays. “7-10 days to go not even 100 miles. It’s very frustrating,” says Preston. Some employees have anonymously contacted WBRC about issues at the Birmingham mail sorting facility.
