USPS electric fleet push sparks cost, security, and job concerns

From the article: "The U.S. Postal Service is pushing forward with a major electric fleet overhaul funded partly by the Inflation Reduction Act, but an energy-policy expert warns rising costs could hit taxpayers and customers. ...The $3 billion the USPS received from the Inflation Reduction Act covers only a third of the more than $9 billion needed...“It was a poor decision. USPS vehicles run for hours at a time, and if they run out of power mid-route, it’s difficult to recharge them,” said Furchtgott-Roth."

PMG Louis DeJoy buys Lexington industrial property for $4.49 million

From the article: "...An LLC managed by Louis DeJoy of Greensboro, the current U.S. Postmaster General, has purchased a former door manufacturing facility at 647 Hargrave Road in Lexington for $4.49 million, according to Davidson County records. The 216,000 square foot facility, which included 6,000 SF in office space, has been vacant since Jeld-Wen Inc..."
